1995 Hellas Underwater Explorers is founded by Instructor of Instructors George Petrou. It includes a Scuba Diving School for Recreational and Technical Diving, a retail store selling diving equipment exclusively (and not fishing gear like most stores at the time), an equipment repair/maintenance department, a rental department, a filling and gas mixing station. HUE is looking for companies with quality diving equipment to represent in Greece and Cyprus. After a very long process, an agreement was reached with the professional pressure regulator manufacturing company DIVEX AB of Mr. Lars Lungvist. The arrival of such a pressure regulator in our country is a great success even today.

Characteristics of the regulator were its very compact construction, excellent design, average pressure of 5 bar (unlike all amateur regulators that have 9-12 average pressure), and excellent flow rate both in deep and shallow waters, even if our tank had minimal pressure inside.

Divex had very good spare parts support and George Petrou went to Stockholm, Sweden where he trained and became a Divex Regulators Service Technician Instructor. For many years the regulator was the favorite of many scuba divers and especially those involved in technical diving. Many regulators were sold both in our country and in Cyprus due to the very good retail and wholesale price it had.
