Diving software was and is the crowning glory of our capabilities in being able to

to plan a dive in our own time, in detail and adequately, that

we would carry out by taking into account almost every factor that may affect our safety.

Presentation at the NATEX Diving Equipment, Tourism and Education Exhibition

One of the most important possibilities that technological advancements have provided us with was diving software. A true revolution as you could sit at home and plan the dive you were going to do in the most ideal and detailed way. Enter all the elements that make up a dive and the aggravating factors. Ensure your diving safety to the maximum.

The user must be an excellent software expert and a certified scuba diver. You have the ability to see the progress of the dive "live".

Some of the very important parameters that you can influence and calculate are:

  • Dive data such as depth, time, ascent/descent rates
  • Bottom and decompression mixtures
  • Diving algorithm
  • Times, stops, decompression mixtures
  • Environmental elements such as temperature, surface, bottom, waves
  • Personal information
  • Gas consumption
  • Gas mixture
  • Τοξικότητα Ο2, Νάρκωση Ν2, OTU,CNS
  • Πλάνα bail out

The possibilities of diving software are many. The important thing is that you have a complete picture of the dive you WILL do before you do it. You can identify errors in the design and come up with the safest plan.

One of the best, most advanced, cutting-edge diving software and my favorite was Abyss from Chris Parret's company Abysmal Diving. We presented Abyss both at the diving equipment exhibition and in many seminars.

It was the 1st organized presentation of diving software that brought diving software closer not only to technical scuba divers but also to the general diving public.
